FAQ

What is a network test?

Network tests are technical verification tests that occur during the game development process. Testers are asked to play the game in advance and participate in various forms of testing. We ask for your cooperation in reporting any bugs or errors discovered during gameplay, with the goal of improving the game.

Is the network test a demo?

The network test is not a demo version of the game. It uses game data that is currently under development to identify bugs and errors. It is expected that bugs will occur during test play, and you may not enjoy the game to its full potential.

Does the network test have the same content as the final release version?

The content you can play in the network test is limited to only part of the full game. Some game specifications may also differ from the release version.

Do I have to pay to participate in the network test?

Participation requires a Nintendo Switch 2 console, active Nintendo Switch Online membership and persistent internet connection.

How should I check for information from the organisers while the network test is being held?

Please check the network test website (this website), in-game message notifications, or The Duskbloods' official X account:

Can I post and stream videos and screenshots of the network test?

Posting or streaming videos or screenshots of this in-development title is not allowed. Please note that the Nintendo Switch 2 Capture Button will be disabled. Thank you.

Can I unlink the network test website and my Nintendo Account?

The download code entered has already been redeemed. It's possible that the download is underway. Please go to your Nintendo Switch 2 HOME Menu and see whether there is a software icon for The Duskbloods Network Test Ver.

If you do not see the software icon on the HOME Menu, it is possible that the download has not yet started for some reason. On the HOME Menu, select Virtual Game Cards and the user who redeemed the software to check. If it is there, select the icon for The Duskbloods Network Test Ver. and proceed with the download.

Is it possible to invite friends and play multiplayer in The Duskbloods Network Test Ver.?

It is not possible to invite friends to play together in multiplayer in The Duskbloods Network Test Ver. The retail version of The Duskbloods is planned to include this functionality.

Can you carry over and use save data from The Duskbloods Network Test Ver. in the retail version?

No. Save data from The Duskbloods Network Test Ver. will NOT carry over to the retail version.

I cannot log into the game server.

If you are unable to log in to the game server during the Network Test, it may be caused by one of the following:

  • Your network connection is unstable

If your network connection is unstable, even if you can browse the internet normally or watch videos online, you may still lose connection with the server.

    • Note: if you are using a router, check to see whether it is working normally.

If the issue is not resolved after checking these, then we would appreciate it if you could report the issue through the bug reporting form on your account page.

  • Note: Network tests are technical verification tests that occur during the game development process. Please be aware that it is expected that bugs will occur during test-play, and you may not enjoy the game to its full potential.
